Victor de Seixas was born in the state of Rio de Janeiro, he studied at: theatre school Martins Pena, Villa Lobos music school and Escola nacional de Circo.
He began work professionally in theatre in 1992 studying with Richard Riguetti, Thierry Tremouroux, Cia Odin (Eugênio Barba), Ariane Mnouchkine and seminar on Grotowski´s work with Núcleo de Construção e demolição de um espetáculo. He also studied dance with Regina Vaes (espaço Coringa) and pantomime with Mário Mendes and Jiddu Saldanha.
He worked as a corporal expression teacher at Villa Lobos music School and circus for children at Constructor Sui school. For a period of two years he coordinated the colônia de férias of Petrobrás, and gave many circus and clown workshops.
In 1994 he moved to São Paulo, and started to study music in ULM, mime with Fernando Vieira, Denise Namura, Ana Teixeira and Stéphane Brodt, bufão with Bete Lopes, clown with Ângela de Castro and dance with Key Sawao, Ricardo Lazzetta and Renata Mello. He collaborated with Cia Sobrevento (puppet theatre) and Antônio Nóbrega´s Cia Brincante and graduated as Master Practitioner in N.L.P. at the IPNA Institute (instituto de programação Neurolingüística aplicada, SP).
He created Angatu group and three shows: ¨One Clown Show! ¨, ¨ M.C.C.R.E. ²¨ and ¨Um Dia Feliz¨ besides coordinating studies groups and supplying workshops.
With Circo Navegador Co, developed research about clown, movement and music, resulting in the shows: “70 se não 60” (nominated for the Pananco´s reward), “ O importante é competir”, “Lavou Tá Novo”.
He has supplied courses and directed shows with children in several organizations, among them: Centro Cultural São Paulo, Escola Pueri Domus, Escola Arquidiocesano, Projeto Parceiros do Futuro ( Secretaria Municipal da Cultura) and Casas da cultura (secretaria estadual da cultura).
In 2001 he moved to London, UK and studied at Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique, and graduated 3 years later having performed in 3 shows directed by the company l'Ange Theatre Fou.
Whilst in London he also studied neutral and expressive Mask in School of Physical theatre; trained and participate in the seminar given by the Polish director Wlodzimierz Staniewski from the Theatre of Gardzienice company and studied contemporary dance, voice-body relationship and vocal and breathing techniques, with Dances Research Studio.
Performed together with the 4aRmPeOpLe (Scotland) puppets shows and performances. He taught mime and theatre on plays at The Questers Youth Theatre, one of the most important young theatres of Great Britain and toured with the solo show ¨the smallest theatre in the world¨ around England, Ireland and France.
In 2007 Victor de Seixas returned to São Paulo, offering and giving trainings of corporal mime and courses preparing actor´s for plays and working as director.
After 2008 start studying Philosophy at Universidade São Judas Tadeu (on course) and is currently coordinating research groups and giving Dramatic Corporal mime course in São Paulo in partnership with Espaço Pyndorama of Cia Antropofágica, creating the “Projeto Mímicas” (mime project) with a year contemporary mime festival in the São Paulo city
Rose Prado
Playwriter and or movement researcher, work on the possibilities of actor's corporal creation and how to apply that on the creation of a script. Their studies go by Contemporary Dance, Kinesiology, Mask Theater and Mime Corporal Dramatic, oriented by Victor of Seixas, besides vocal studies guided by Luciano Simoneti, Madalena Bernardes and Lucila Tragtemberg (PUC-SP).
Her most recent kids play´s are:
“Duas a Clarear” (Two to brighten up), “Tesouro de Hanifah” (Hanifah´s Treasury, second place on the IV Drama Playwriting festival of Caraguatatuba), “Todo Azul"(all Blue) and "Altos e Baixos” (the up and down), her mark in these works was always the absence of villainous character and the conflicts and dilemmas always come from the characters of the play.
Adult theatre plays:
"Origami de Zinco”( Zinc Origami), " Pague um e Leve Três” ( Buy one get two free) and “Mácula” (Stain), besides have won few poetries and literature contests.
Also have acted on: “O Interogatório” (February to April of 2000, with positive critic from Bravo´s Art magazine, inspired in Peter Weiss's work, script by Jomar Figueiredo); "Avesos" (TUSP and Teatro Conchita de Moraes of Santo André city, author: Sérgio Pires, coordination: Francisco Medeiros); "Calis Polis" (Virada Cultural de 2006, SESCs, dance-theater, creation and interpretation); "Duas a Clarear" (2001 – Centro Cultural São Paulo and Sesc); "Tudo Azul" (2008 - Sesc) and it is in process with the "Altos e Baixos" (SESC Itaquera/SP) and in process with "Abstrações" (direction: Victor de Seixas, work based in Dramatic Corporal Mime, with the “Angatu” group).
