Welcome to “Projeto Mímica” page.
Published in September of 2004, mimicas.com was the first webpage available with information about the art of the Corporal Mime in Portuguese!
Our main objective is to promote in Brazil the Corporal Mime, technique originally developed by the French artist Etienne Decroux, as relevant technique for the artistic scenery of the contemporary artistic creation.
We use this new channel to open space for information and discussion, publishing and explaining doubts on that new art form, besides promoting mime related works.
The “Projeto Mímicas” promote that new art in 5 actions:
- Webpage in the Internet
- Group of studies and research
- Regular public workshops
- Publication of Magazine
- Promotion of Annual Festival
